I honestly can’t tell if you’re relentlessly “improving” – striving, increasing, growing, doing more – or have wisely chosen the serene art of blissful inaction, perfectly content in your current glorious state of being? It’s the daily existential drama: endless self-betterment versus the profound joy of thinking about doing things (but, you know, not actually doing them). A true modern dilemma! 😜
Sweetheart, if you’re happy just chilling & not interested in increasing or doing more than what you are doing, that’s totally fine by me. Who am I to judge? There’s something nice about just being…😜
But, if you’ve got a little fire in you to actually get better & do more stuff, then let me throw in some better ideas. Forget the usual wishes for more money, luck or good health. Let’s aim for something unusual, something seriously impressive, maybe even a little showy. Why just get a bit better when you can be remarkably better? Let’s aim for an increase in:
Your Vocabulary (to a Point Where People Suspect You’ve Swallowed a Thesaurus).
Your Pronunciation (Such That Even Native Speakers Raise an Eyebrow in Envy).
Your Collection of Half-Read Books & Articles (Because nothing screams “intellectual” like a stack of unfinished literary journeys).
Your Skills (Acquire new talents at such a ludicrous pace that even Leonardo da Vinci would side-eye you with a mixture of awe & suspicion).
How Hard You Try (Push yourself so much that “relaxing” becomes a foreign word. Make being totally worn out a badge of honor).
Your Sleep (Aim For That Elusive “8 Hours” everyone talks about but few achieve).
Your Workouts (To the Point Where Your Muscles Develop Their Own Social Media Presence).
Your Talks & Chats (Network like a pro, even if it means some seriously awkward conversations).
Your Communication (Become a master at getting what you want, making deals & using your actual face to show emotions, strategically, of course).
Your Handshakes & Hugs (Create difference Between Genuine Connection and Obligatory Social Gestures).
Your Busyness (ALL the things, ALL the time, because being busy obviously means you’re important & successful).
YourTolerance for unsolicited advice (Get better at nodding politely when people tell you something, even if you don’t agree).
Your Ability to Laugh at Mistakes (Learn to find the funny side of totally messing up).
Your Random Compliments & Nice Gestures (Increase how often you smile & say something nice to someone).
Your smile (Absolutely essential. Wear it frequently. The most budget-friendly way to appear harmless (even if your inner monologue is a constant stream of mischievous ideas).
Darling listen – there you have it – a positively overflowing basket of potential “INCREASES” to chew on. I wish & hope that it will thoroughly enlighten you or at the very least leave you mildly amused 🤭
So, improvement, increase or blissful inaction today, my dear? Whatever your decision, may your day be filled with a healthy dose of perspective & perhaps a moment or two of genuine, unforced joy. Wishing you a morning that doesn’t require you to be any more “you” than you already are! Blessings 💐
