आज के ये लेख ओशो के एक प्रवचन पर आधारित है जिसमे वे कहते हैं कि जीवन केवल उनका है जिनकी अंतरात्मा में अन्वेषण है। अस्तित्व केवल उनका है जो सत्य की निरंतर शोध में लगे हैं, जिन्होंने एक क्षण को भी यह बात भुलाई नहीं है कि हम कहीं से आए हैं और हमें कहीं जाना है। माना कि हमें पता नहीं है हम कंहा से आए हैं और माना यह भी कि हमें पता नहीं हमें कंहा जाना है, लेकिन एक बात सुनिश्चित है कि एक दिन था जब हम यहां नहीं थे और यह भी बात उतनी ही सुनिश्चित है कि एक दिन फिर होगा और जब हम यहां नहीं होंगे।

क्या ये सोच और शब्द हम सब को ये सोचने पर मजबूर नही करते कि इस जीवन के रूप में जो इतना बड़ा सुअवसर हमे मिला है वो केवल खाने-पीने, सोने और मर जाने के लिये नही मिला है। वो मिला है अपने कर्मों से कुछ खास बड़े लक्ष्यों को पूरा करने के लिये, वो मिला है अपनी आत्मा का विकास करने के लिये, वो मिला है, इस सृष्टि को पोषित करने लिये, अपने कर्जों को उतारने के लिये, ब्रह्म जिज्ञासा पूरी करने के लिए, परम् सत्य तथा भगवान को समझने के लिए।

कुछ लोग सशक्त, उन्नत और इतने प्रबुद्ध होकर भी केवल उतना ही करते रहते हैं जितना जानवर करते हैं, वे वैसा जीवन व्यतीत करते हैं जैसा कोई साधारण पशु जीता है। ये इस महान जीवन रूपी अवसर का दुरुपयोग है।

इस मनुष्य रूपी जीवन मे जो तर्क, बुद्धि, समर्थ, बल, योग्यता, कौशल एवं विशेषतायें आपको मिली हैं वो आपको इस पृथ्वी का सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्राणी बनाती है। इसीलिए अपनी बौद्धिकता, ताकत, ऊर्जा और जो समय हमें मिला है उसे अपने विवेकपूर्वक सत्कर्मो में लगाये रखना प्रार्थना है। अपने भावी जीवन को सुखमय बनाने का तथा अपने सुखद परिवेश के सृजन का निरन्तर प्रयास और उद्धम करते रहना ही प्रार्थना है

जीवन के मूल सत्य और सिद्धांतों का ज्ञान प्राप्त करने में, आत्म-ज्ञान प्राप्त करने में, आप स्वयं कौन हैं तथा आपके इस जीवन के मुख्य उद्देश्य कौन कौन से हैं ये जानने समझने में लगे रहना ही प्रार्थना है।

यथार्थ बोध के लिए तत्पर रहना प्रार्थना है। संशय, भ्रम और अज्ञान से मुक्ति तथा कुसंस्कारों के शमन और अपने अहंकार के निर्मूलन को अपनी पहली प्राथमिकता बनाना प्रार्थना है। अपनी आत्मा के जागरण और उसके संपूर्ण विकास में लगे रहना प्रार्थना है।

आज मेरे आराध्य देव से प्रार्थना है कि समय का प्रत्येक क्षण जो सर्वोत्तम है और अमूल्य है उसे सही दिशा में खर्च करने की आपको समझ दें, सामर्थ्य दें। आपकी पूर्णता-श्रेष्ठता हासिल करने की तथा अपने आत्म- विकास की यात्रा सरस, सुंदर, रसमय तथा सुखमय बनी रहे।
